Round gas fire pit
Push button flame, no smoke, no ash. Round so everyone faces each other. Our most requested feature.
Wood burning fire pit
The real thing. Fire brick lined, sized for a proper fire, with a spark screen and a surround that takes the heat.
Linear fire table
A long flame in a low table, modern and clean. Works along the edge of a patio or beside a pool.
Outdoor fireplace
A full masonry fireplace with a chimney that draws smoke up and away. The centerpiece of an outdoor room.
How we build it
Fire features are permanent and they get hot. The details matter.
Placement and wind
We pick the spot for wind, view and distance from the house and structures, then set seating distance from the flame.
Footing and base
A fire feature sits on a footing or a patio base built to carry it without movement.
Core and fire brick
Block core with fire brick or a burner pan, vented so gas and heat behave.
Gas line and burner
Licensed gas work, a burner sized to the pit, and a key valve or electronic ignition where you want it.
Veneer, cap and lighting
Stone veneer, a cap that takes drinks and feet, and low voltage lighting so the area works after dark.

What a fire feature costs in Wichita
Gas costs more up front than wood because of the line and burner. Fireplaces cost more than pits because of the chimney and the masonry.
A built in wood fire pit starts around $4,500. A gas fire pit with seat wall runs $8,000 to $15,000. Outdoor fireplaces start near $18,000 and go up with size and stone. Patio and lighting are quoted with it.

Questions homeowners ask us
Gas or wood?
Gas if you want to use it on a Tuesday night with one button and no cleanup. Wood if you want the smell and the crackle and do not mind tending it. Many clients choose gas and never look back.
How far from the house?
We keep fire features at least 10 feet from the house and any structure, and farther for wood burning. Local code and good sense both apply.
Can you add a fire pit to my existing patio?
Yes if the base can carry it and the location works for wind and clearance. Sometimes we cut in a footing.
Will the stone crack from the heat?
Not when the core is fire brick or a proper gas pan and the veneer is kept off the flame path. That is the point of building it right.
How long does it take?
A fire pit is usually three to five days on site. A fireplace takes two to three weeks.
