How we build it

Design and layout
We measure, check grades and drainage, and draw the patio to scale so you see it before we dig.
Excavation to depth
We dig out the clay to the depth the soil and use call for, not the depth that is convenient.
Compacted base in lifts
Aggregate base goes in layers and is compacted each time. This is what keeps the surface flat.
Bedding, pavers, edge restraint
Screeded bedding sand, pavers set tight, and edge restraint spiked in so nothing creeps.
Joint sand and cleanup
Polymeric sand locks the joints, we compact once more, and leave the yard clean.

Price depends on size, paver choice, access to the yard, how much grade work is needed and what else is built into it. Here is the honest range we see.
A typical 400 square foot patio lands between $10,000 and $18,000. Large format slabs, steps, walls and fire features add to that. If a bid comes in far below this range, ask what was left out of the base.

How long does a paver patio last?
Built on a proper base, 25 years and more. The pavers themselves carry a lifetime warranty from Unilock. The base is what decides whether the surface stays flat.
Pavers or stamped concrete?
Pavers cost more up front and last longer. Concrete cracks, and when it does the whole slab shows it. A paver can be lifted and reset in an hour.
How long does installation take?
Most patios take one to two weeks on site once materials arrive. Design and scheduling happen before that.
Do you handle permits and utility locates?
Yes. We call in locates before we dig and handle any permits your project needs.
Can you build over my old concrete patio?
Sometimes. It depends on the condition of the slab and the finished height you need. We will tell you honestly after we look at it.
